When you join a course at Community Trade Hub, you can start using your new skills right away. We believe in only teaching necessary content, which means everything you learn will be practical and easy to apply. We’re very flexible with course times and schedules, so if you can’t find something that works for you, simply get in touch.

INTRODUCTION TO CONSTRUCTION

The aim of Introduction to Construction is to provide an early intervention training programme which allows you  to try all trade disciplines to help identify which one suits you.

Using our purpose-built trade stations, you will learn the practical skills of each trade.  This also includes the safe use and handling of tools and power tools, Health and Safety and PPE.  

Life skills are also gained throughout with various teambuilding activities focusing on confidence, self-esteem, social interaction, strengths and weaknesses.  Client's are closely evaluated to help our staff identify how we can best support each individual's needs on their career path journey.

Once the individual has Identified which trade suits them, we work with them on their specific chosen trade to help develop skills, knowledge, qualifications and confidence to give them the best opportunity to move forward in seeking employment.

We have many options available to support this, work placements with our partnership construction companies, work experience on our community projects, additional training and qualifications, local college for further education.
